"Dannii Minogue" is Making Her Pop Comeback

Dannii Minogue is set to make her comeback with a new single next month.

As she prepares to relaunch her music career with a new single and performance at the Central Station Records 40th anniversary party next month, her seven-year-old boy asked her to put together a playlist of her hits.

Less than a week after it was revealed that Girls Aloud’s Nadine Coyle is set to relaunch her solo career with a major new record deal, the gay musical gods have smiled upon us once again with the news that fellow pop legend Dannii Minogue is set to make a musical comeback of her own.

However, her next song is likely to be premiered at her performance as part of the 40th anniversary of her former record label Central Station Records on August 11.

She did reveal Sia has given her a song; the Australian hitmaker also worked extensively on Kylie’s last studio record Kiss Me Once.

Dannii has realised just how much the rise in digital music has transformed the way records are produced and promoted, but she believes one thing that hasn't altered is that it still "comes down to making music you love".

She said previously: "The music industry has changed beyond recognition since I last had a record out. It's all downloads and online now. But it still comes down to making music you love."

“He kind of knows ‘Put The Needle On It’ but last week he said ‘Mum, I want to get an iPad so I can listen to your music on it’,” she said.

“I’m putting a playlist together, a tracklist of the show to practise to, so he knows it’s all happening.

“He wants to know what I sing, what I do.”
