The official motion poster looks damn amazing. It’s a visual treat. I am so excited and looking forward to watching this flick. It has super hit written all over it. Chiranjeevi has been longing to essay a historic character on the big screen. Recently, on his show Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu, the actor expressed deep regret for missing out on an opportunity to essay the legendary character of the freedom fighter – Bhagat Singh. The actor said, “It has always been my dream to play Bhagat Singh. Despite being offered the role back then, I couldn’t play it for several reasons and it was later played by several of my counterparts. It was played by several actors across languages. I regret missing out on an opportunity to play the role because I don’t think anyone wants to make a film on him today.” Looks like his dream has now come true with his upcoming film Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.
Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, which is helmed by Surender Reddy, is based on the life of a freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. It is also confirmed that the film will feature the Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan. Besides Chiranjeevi and Big B, the film also stars Kannada superstar Kichcha Sudeep, Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara and Jagapathi Babu. While the film is bankrolled by Ram Charan (producing the film on a whopping budget of over Rs 150 crore), the music for the film is scored by two-time Oscar-winner AR Rehman.
